1.travel light. the more i go out of state the more i realize i don't need this or that.
2. some times its worth the money to get a rental car.(and make sure to get insurance)
3. live off the dollar menu, i know we all eat out every day when out of state. but it really saves a lot to stick to the dollar menu.
4.always use the buddy system. its so much cheaper if you have someone to pay half the bills.

6. have a emergency bank account with $300 in it. that should be enough to get you from any spot to any spot across the country bye greyhound and pay for your food.
